Communication
Keeping parents informed about school plans, policies and their children’s progress.
Every parent and guardian of a Sancta Crux student is part of the PTA. Together with our teachers, we support learners, strengthen the school and keep families connected to school life.
Children learn best when home and school work together. The Parent–Teacher Association is the bridge between families and the school — a forum where parents can stay informed, raise concerns, share ideas and contribute to projects that benefit every learner.
Membership is automatic: every parent or guardian with a child at Sancta Crux belongs to the PTA, along with the school’s teaching staff.

Supporting improvements to facilities, learning resources and the school environment.
Caring for the wellbeing, safety and discipline of learners in partnership with staff.
Sharing in prize-giving, sports, cultural days and other milestones of school life.
Build a strong, respectful relationship between parents, teachers and school management.
Support initiatives that raise the quality of teaching, learning and examination results.
Mobilise support for classrooms, laboratories, the library and other school facilities.
Reinforce the school’s values — at home and at school — so learners receive one consistent message.
Look out for the health, safety and happiness of every child in the school community.
Connect families with one another and with the wider Olokoro community.
The PTA meets during each term. Meetings are a chance to hear from school management, review projects, and discuss matters that affect learners.
Dates, venues and agendas are shared by the school in advance through the office and the school’s Facebook page.
Welcome of new parents, session plans and updates.
Project updates and mid-session academic review.
Review of the session and plans for the year ahead.
Meet form teachers to discuss your child’s progress.
Small habits at home make a big difference in the classroom. Here is how parents can support learning every day.
Make sure your child arrives on time, every day, in correct uniform and ready to learn.
Provide a quiet place to study, check assignments, and encourage daily reading.
Read report cards, attend meetings and contact the form teacher early if you have concerns.
Encourage respect, honesty and responsibility at home — the same values we teach at school.
The PTA is led by an executive committee elected by parents, working alongside the Principal and staff representatives.
A typical PTA structure. Names of current executive members will be published here by the school.
Have another question for the PTA? The school office will pass it on.
Every parent or guardian of a student at Sancta Crux is automatically a member, together with the school’s teaching staff.
Notices are sent through your child and shared by the school office. Updates also appear on the News & events page and the school’s Facebook page.
Any PTA levies are agreed by parents at general meetings and communicated by the school. Please contact the office for current details.
Speak to the PTA executive at a meeting, or send an enquiry to the school office and choose “PTA”. Skills, time and resources are all welcome.
Attend meetings, share your ideas and help build a better school for every child.
